Synopsis
La rivière Papagni est un sous-bassin de la rivière Pennar, en Inde. L'eau est un or liquide important. Le bassin connaît un déficit d'eau élevé en raison de faibles précipitations et de fortes pertes d'eau par évaporation et évapotranspiration. L'équilibre hydrique joue un rôle crucial dans l'utilisation et la conservation optimales des ressources en eau. De tous les paramètres climatiques, les précipitations sont un élément important qui contrôle l'irrigation et la superficie totale de culture dans des conditions pluvieuses. L'eau perdue sous forme de ruissellement de surface doit être stockée en adoptant des programmes de gestion des bassins versants dans le bassin par la construction de barrages de contrôle, de bassins de percolation et de structures de récupération de l'eau. Par conséquent, pour éviter la pénurie d'eau dans le bassin, il devient obligatoire de récolter chaque goutte d'eau de pluie pour un usage domestique et agricole et également d'introduire les pratiques modernes d'irrigation comme l'arrosage, le goutte à goutte et le ruisseau.
