Synopsis
La croissance biologiquement et histologiquement est un composite de changements morphogénétiques et histogénétiques se produisant continuellement sur une période de temps en réponse au codage génétique et aux influences environnementales. La croissance humaine se caractérise par une variation considérable du taux de progression des différentes personnes vers la maturité physiologique. C'est l'une des plus myriades de variations dans la nature et joue un rôle important dans l'étiologie de la malocclusion et également dans l'évaluation du diagnostic, de la planification du traitement, de la rétention et de la stabilité de tout cas. L'état de développement d'un enfant est généralement évalué par rapport aux événements qui se produisent au cours de la progression de la croissance. Ainsi, l'âge chronologique, le développement dentaire, les mesures de taille et de poids, les caractéristiques de maturation sexuelle et l'âge squelettique sont des indicateurs biologiques qui ont été utilisés pour identifier les stades de croissance. Le but de ce livre est donc de collecter, d'analyser et de séparer les différents aspects des indicateurs de maturité squelettique dans la littérature de l'orthodontie et de les présenter de manière systématique concise.
