Synopsis
Ce livre étudie les processus géomécaniques clés associés à l'écoulement des fluides dans l'environnement souterrain. Les principaux phénomènes évalués comprennent la déformation, la fracturation et l'érosion du sous-sol en réponse à des perturbations de pression fluidique élevée, l'écoulement du fluide et les interactions avec des structures sous-surfaces naturelles et artificielles préexistantes. Les interrelations et les effets des variables de fonctionnement des puits sur le comportement de formation de roches sont examinés. Certains contrôles ont été établis qui éclairent la compréhension des formations réservoirs/rocheuses et sont essentiels aux opérations de réservoir telles que la production améliorée de méthane dans les lits de charbon (ECBM), la récupération améliorée du pétrole (EOR), la récupération améliorée du gaz (ECR) et la séquestration du CO2.
