L'hypertension est un défi de santé publique important dans le monde entier en raison de sa prévalence élevée et de l'augmentation concomitante du risque de maladie. La présente étude visait à développer des films à libération contrôlée d'hydrocholride de propranolol. En raison de l'efficacité et de l'utilisation intensive de Propranolol HCl comme médicament de choix dans le traitement de l'hypertension et de l'insuffisance cardiaque congestive, le développement de la forme posologique à libération contrôlée orale a été sélectionné pour l'étude. Un film à libération contrôlée de chlorhydrate de propranolol a été préparé en utilisant un polymère retardateur de libération. L'objectif derrière ce travail était de concevoir un film de libération de contrôle en utilisant la méthode de moulage au solvant, d'étudier la stabilité de la formulation et d'étudier le paramètre de préformulation du polymère. Sur la base des conclusions de l'étude, on peut conclure que le film formulé pourrait être une percée dans les médicaments d'administration à libération contrôlée.
