Synopsis
En regardant la crise énergétique, l'installation d'une centrale nucléaire est devenue un besoin du monde. Mais les effets néfastes de ces techniques ont déjà été mis en évidence par l'événement qui s'est produit au Japon. Il est donc très nécessaire de surveiller les fuites ou le flux des radiations de la plante vers l'environnement extérieur. Dans le monde d'aujourd'hui, les mesures de rayonnement utilisant la thermo luminescence (TL) ou la luminescence stimulée optiquement (OSL) sont devenues un outil important dans la recherche nucléaire et médicale. Cependant, la surveillance par TL/OSL dépend de la sensibilité des matériaux utilisés. À ce jour, très peu de matériaux ont trouvé leur valeur commerciale et sont très coûteux. Il devient donc très nécessaire d'obtenir une alternative à ces matériaux. Dans ce livre, nous avons proposé des techniques de synthèse de certains nouveaux matériaux TL/OSL activés par terres rares et les avons étudiées. Cependant, les matériaux suggérés dans le livre ont une sensibilité plus élevée que le matériel commercial et peuvent trouver de l'importance dans la surveillance des rayonnements personnels et environnementaux. Ce livre aide beaucoup aux chercheurs qui sont actuellement engagés dans le domaine de la recherche sur la surveillance des radiations et la synthèse des matériaux TL/OSL.
