Comment utiliser efficacement l'énergie à basse et moyenne température est l'une des solutions pour résoudre la pénurie d'énergie et les problèmes de pollution environnementale. Les centrales solaires thermiques ont connu un succès limité sur le marché de l'énergie à ce jour. La capacité de mieux caractériser les performances des technologies solaires-thermiques existantes ainsi que d'étudier le potentiel des nouvelles technologies est une étape cruciale dans le développement de conceptions plus économiquement viables. Les cycles organiques Rankine ont des propriétés uniques qui sont bien adaptées à la production d'énergie solaire et également adaptées à la topographie de notre pays, en particulier dans les régions reculées. Ce livre contribue à la connaissance et à la caractérisation des cycles organiques de Rankine (ORC) à petite échelle. Il est basé sur des données expérimentales, des modèles thermodynamiques et des études de cas. Les études expérimentales comprennent : un prototype de récupération de chaleur résiduelle à petite échelle ORC utilisant un extenseur de défilement sans huile à entraînement ouvert.
