Le but de l'étude était de détecter la précision de la tomodensitométrie dans le diagnostic du gliome cérébral, et la confirmation du gliome par les résultats de biopsie tissulaire après la chirurgie. Les données ont été collectées, classées et analysées à l'aide de SPSS. L'étude a été réalisée pour 101 patients atteints de gliome cérébral (51,5%) étaient des hommes et (48,5%) étaient des femmes. L'âge des patients était de 1 an à 80 ans. L'étude a montré que la prévalence des gliomes parmi les tumeurs cérébrales entières au Soudan était (17,7%). Le diagnostic de toutes les images cérébrales CT a montré que l'astrocytome était (63,4%) qui enregistrait le pourcentage le plus élevé parmi l'autre type de gliomes, et le résultat de la biopsie a confirmé qu'il y avait (38,6%) des patients atteints d'astrocytome. La plupart des gliomes cérébraux se sont produits dans le lobe pariétal (34,7 %), ont montré une densité mixte (52,5 %) et une amélioration du contraste (81,5 %). L'étude a conclu que la tomodensitométrie est sensible dans le diagnostic du gliome cérébral.
