Synopsis
La noix de cajou (Anacardium occidentale L.) appartenant à la famille des anacardiacées est l'une des cultures de plantation importantes du pays. Malgré son importance dans l'économie du pays et sa culture à grande échelle, la productivité de la noix de cajou est extrêmement faible. Par conséquent, l'identification des variétés pour différentes conditions climatiques agro est d'une importance vitale pour augmenter la production de noix de cajou dans le pays. Pour répondre à la demande de meilleurs matériaux de plantation pour les plantations à grande échelle, il est nécessaire d'évaluer le potentiel de rendement des variétés de noix de cajou dans différentes conditions climatiques agressives. Pour satisfaire les agriculteurs ainsi que les transformateurs, il est nécessaire d'évaluer et d'identifier les variétés de noix de cajou avec un rendement plus élevé ainsi que des caractéristiques de traitement souhaitables. Dans le district de Belgaum, la noix de cajou est populairement cultivée dans le taluk de Khanapur et fait partie des talukas de Bailahongal et Belgaum. Les renseignements sur les performances des variétés nouvellement libérées dans la zone de transition nord ne sont pas disponibles.
