Synopsis
Le chevreuil est un ongulé répandu dans toute l'Europe, vivant également sur les montagnes et dans les environnements nordiques où il est à la limite de sa répartition. Dans ces zones, les conditions limitées imposées par les hivers rigoureux peuvent affecter de manière importante la survie du chevreuil. Certaines formes de gestion telles que l'alimentation complémentaire ont été développées pour contrebalancer ces limitations, bien que leur présence implique également certains inconvénients potentiels tels que la suragrégation des individus et la concurrence. Ce livre explore la réponse écologique du chevreuil, en termes de tactiques de mouvement, à ces conditions limitantes et aux modifications de la distribution des ressources imposées par l'alimentation supplémentaire. En outre, les auteurs étudient l'application d'outils technologiques tels que les enregistreurs de proximité, qui peuvent être utilisés pour évaluer les effets négatifs potentiels de la pratique d'alimentation supplémentaire.
