Synopsis
L'enseignement supérieur joue un rôle fondamental dans le développement économique d'un pays en termes de satisfaction des exigences de la société. La qualité dans l'enseignement supérieur a été un thème récurrent ces dernières années, en particulier après la création du Système national d'évaluation de l'enseignement supérieur (SINAES). Ainsi, cette étude vise à analyser l'IGC des universités publiques et privées des cinq régions brésiliennes afin de décrire la performance des EES par région, d'identifier d'éventuelles divergences intrarégionales et interrégionales et de suggérer des opportunités d'amélioration. Les résultats ont montré que les universités publiques ont surpassé les universités privées dans toutes les régions, en particulier les régions du nord et du sud-est. En ce qui concerne la variabilité, les universités privées ont obtenu les meilleures performances dans le centre-ouest et pas dans les régions du sud-est. En ce qui concerne la variabilité, les universités privées ont obtenu les meilleures performances dans le centre-ouest et le nord du Brésil. Cependant, une évaluation approfondie de la performance des EES par région nécessite une analyse intégrative des résultats de l'IGC alignée sur d'autres sous-systèmes d'évaluation qui intègrent l'évaluation multidimensionnelle des SINAES.
