Synopsis
Les rotations de croissance sont le reflet de la croissance différentielle dans les hauteurs de face antérieure et postérieure. La croissance de la hauteur postérieure du visage dépend des composantes verticales de la croissance à la fosse crânienne moyenne et au condyle. Il est suggéré que la croissance de la hauteur antérieure du visage soit grandement influencée par la croissance de la colonne cervicale et la croissance différentielle résultante des muscles, du fascia et d'autres tissus mous qui passent entre le crâne, la mandibule, l'os hyoïde et la ceinture scapulaire. Les effets des variations de posture de la tête sont superposés à ces déterminants principaux. Le but de ce livre est donc de collecter, d'analyser et de séparer les différents aspects des rotations de croissance dans la littérature de l'orthodontie et de les présenter de manière systématique concise.
