L'un des problèmes centraux de l'ingénierie logicielle est la complexité inhérente. Étant donné que le logiciel est le résultat de l'activité créative humaine, l'informatique cognitive joue un rôle important dans la compréhension de ses caractéristiques fondamentales. Dans cette recherche, une nouvelle mesure de la complexité logicielle basée en termes de poids cognitif des structures de contrôle de base a été proposée en essayant d'éliminer les limites de certaines des mesures existantes. La complexité de certains problèmes avec différents numéros de ligne a été mesurée pour proposer un aperçu pour un système d'évaluation automatique des étudiants qui distribuera diverses questions ou problèmes de manière égale à divers étudiants en fonction de la complexité des problèmes, puis évaluera uate the answers automatique. Les problèmes de programmation informatique ont été pris comme entrée du système d'évaluation. À la fin de la recherche, certains niveaux de complexité correspondant à la valeur de complexité mesurée ont été proposés. Si un enseignant veut distribuer des problèmes d'échantillon, il peut le distribuer en fonction de ces niveaux. L'application du système d'évaluation automatique aidera tous les élèves à obtenir un jugement égal lors de l'examen de programmation.
