Synopsis

In one of the fastest growing economies, India, the living condition of the residents is degrading in inner-city areas. An effective approach to revamping these areas is needed, lest there could be serious repercussions. This work is an exploration of such approaches in the context of ‘smart’ cities. Its purpose is to identify and apply a suitable approach to revamp the living conditions and improve the quality of life in the inner-city areas. It is a study of the Central Area of Bhopal city.
