Synopsis

The book presents over 1800 MCQs on almost all the topics covered in the introductory physics courses. The MCQs are distributed over forty chapters. The last five chapters are dedicated to different branches of engineering. Some of the chapters have several sections. For each topic there are thirty or more questions. The answers are provided to all the MCQs. The book has several appendices covering important aspects such as writing a Lab Report; use of Spreadsheets; SI System of Units; Prefixes; Physical Constants; Greek Alphabet; and Mathematical Symbols. The last appendix is on the land mark event: 2015 the International Year of Light and Light-based technologies. Lastly we have the English-Arabic Glossaries, which shall be useful to the Arabic speaking students. The book shall be useful to students taking university entrance exams and also to those pursuing physics courses in the initial years of the university (both science and engineering majors).

Biographie de l'auteur

Dr. Sameen Ahmed Khan Assistant Professor at Dhofar University, Salalah, Sultanate of Oman. He has authored 3 Books, 6 Book Chapters; 60 Technical Articles and 200 Popular Science Articles in journals/proceedings/magazines of repute. He is a Member of the Working Group, Ibn Al Haytham of the International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies.
