Synopsis

Scale development is a necessary skill required by a psychological researcher.This book contains step by step procedure of developing a scale.The purpose of the study was to develop a scale called ‘Terrorism Impact Evaluation Scale (TIES)’. Three phases of the study led to the development of the scale. Focus group discussion, structured in depth interviews, expert interview and phenomenological evidence were used for item generation in phase I of the study. Themes were generated. Those were later on clustered. Subscales were decided. Age, gender, education, socio economic status,working or nonworking ,directly or indirectly affected were kept as variables. Moreover it highlights the most challenging phenomenon being faced by human-beings i.e.,terrorism.It is a combination of qualitative and quantitative research which reflects the impact of terrorism on Pakistani population.The results reflect...

Misbah Masood is a passionate student of Psychology. She has done Msc from University of the Punjab and MS from LCWU and she is currently enrolled as a PhD student in LCWU.Prof.Talat Sohail is HOD of A.Psychology dept at LCWU. She is an administrator, a teacher,researcher and counselor.She is a life member and an executive office holder of PPA.
