Synopsis

University Libraries in the field of Agricultural Sciences are also heading fast towards providing Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) along with traditional services. Most of the Agricultural Libraries are providing Digital services to their clienteles. These libraries are also digitizing their resources either in-house or through outsourcing. There are five chapters in this book. Digitization, its meaning, objectives of the study, research methodology, scope and scheme of the work has been covered in Introduction. 2nd chapter is of Review of Literature. In 3rd chapter Growth and Development of Agricultural University Libraries in India has been described. Chapter 4th includes analysis and interpretation of data. Summary, Conclusion and Suggestions have been drawn in the 5th chapter. The book is based on the findings of the research in the field of Digitization of Agricultural University Libraries; it will be of very much helpful for the researchers, students, teachers, librarians and other library professionals who are associated with digitizing their resources.

Biographie de l'auteur

Dr. Balwan Singh is working as Deputy Librarian at Nehru Library, CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar,India. He has obtained Ph.D. in Lib. & Inf. Sc. from GGU,Bilaspur in 2011. He has experience of 25 years in Lib. Profession. 3 books and 40 articles have been credited to him. He has obtained 3 months training at Mortenson Center,UIUC,USA.
