Synopsis

The introduction of natural ingredients in production cannot be overemphasized. Caution must be taken not to allow the availability of synthetic materials for production to make manufacturers sideline the place of natural ingredients in production which are more ecofriendly and cost effective. Looking at the widespread use of paint in colouring and protecting surfaces including houses, machines, cars, road markings and underground vessels, it is pertinent that researches be carried out on exploring alternative or supplementary ingredients that can be used in the production of paint. One of the major ingredients that must be present in any type of paint is the binder which imparts adhesion. This book is a leading innovation in the use of a natural binder in the production of emulsion paint which is widely used for interior decoration. This book if studied shall bring the reader to an understanding of how to use gum Arabic solution either as a supplement or replacement for polyvinyl acetate (PVA) which is commonly used as a synthetic binder in emulsion paint production as it contains standard procedures that will lead to producing the desired emulsion paint.

The author hail from Fagen Rawa Ruruma of Kaduna State, Nigeria. He studied Chemical Engineering in Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, Nigeria, he is a young graduate interested in scientific research.
