Wireless sensor network consists of communication, sensing, and computation into a single tiny device. As a result of this, wireless sensor network has become one of the key research area in not just in computer science, but also in healthcare applications industries. Several type of wireless sensor network uses in healthcare industries. Research on the architecture and topology will be on Wireless Ad Hoc Network and Wireless Sensor Network for health care. The architecture, characteristic each of their advantage and disadvantage will be mentioned.

Prof Leong Wai Yie received her PhD in Electrical Engineering from The University of Queensland(UQ),Australia. Wai Yie is currently the Chairman of Women Engineers Section, Malaysia and Chairman of Women Engineers-AFEO(WEAFEO). She is specialized in medical signal processing and telecommunications, and has received the Richard Jago Research Prize.
