Synopsis

As a result of industrial activities, the aquatic ecosystem has been increasingly contaminated by heavy metals. This posses great stresses to aquatic organisms in particular and to the whole ecosystem in general. Investigation of heavy metal concentrations in water, sediments and fish organs compartment of the environment are an important aspect of the control of environmental pollution to contract the human activates which progressively increase heavy metal concentration in aquatic system. Heavy metal considered one of the most important pollutants as it is dissolved in water and accumulated in fish organs causing damage for fish and the consumers.

Dr. Ahmed Th. A. Ibrahim was born in Manfalout of Assiut - Egypt. He studied in Egypt at the University of Assiut where he successfully completed three degrees: B.S.C in Zoology in 2004, MSC in 2008 and PhD. in 2011 in Zoology (Fish Biology).
