Synopsis

Softball provides a comprehensive approach for competition. Players compete against each other whenever they go on to the field to play a game. If winning is of primary importance in competition then the performance the player gives in the game is determining factor in winning. The competition is the arena in which a player tests his skills against his opponents. The criteria for evaluating a performance includes the players skill or tactical ability; his fitness i.e. his speed, agility, strength, or his attitude, i.e. his determination, concentration, commitment .To be a successful softball player one needs to expertise himself in fundamental skills of – Hitting, Base Running ,Throwing and catching and Underhand Pitchin. The study will provide norms for national Level players as well as Administration of Specific Softball Skill Tests.

Dr. Ashish Phulkar presently working as Assistant Professor at Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education ,Gwalior (M.P).He has worked as Deputy Director,Physical Education at Symbiosis International University , Pune (M.S).from 2006 to 2015.He has played pivotal role as an administrator and has developed 15 recreation and Wellness Centre
