The development of a safe, acceptable, affordable, effective and reversible contraceptive choice for men has always been a great challenge for researchers throughout the world for more than 30 years. The available male contraceptive approaches are confined to traditional (abstinence and withdrawal), barrier (condom), surgical (vasectomy and vasoocculusive devices), chemical and immunological. However, all suffer high failure rate (abstinence and withdrawal), limitation in compliance (condoms), side effects (chemical) and reversibility (vasectomy); none of these has emerged as an ideal approach for fertility control in men. This book attempts to discuss the latest reports on the contraceptive potentiality of different approaches in males.

Biographie de l'auteur

Prof. Gupta received his master degree (Zoology) in 2005 from BHU, Varanasi. Presently, he is engaged in teaching and research work in K. N. Govt. P. G. College, Gyanpur, Bhadohi. His work has been published in several national and international journals. He is also an active reviewer and member of editorial board of several journals of repute.
