Synopsis

Metal complexes exhibits applications in optoelectronic devices such as organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs), organic field effect transistors, organic phototransistors, organic photovoltaic cells, organic photodetectors and many more because of their superior properties such as high purity, high charge injection and transport ability, good fluorescence and phosphorescence efficiencies, etc. Keeping this in view, we have design, synthesize and characterize the metal complexes of lithium, zinc and iridium. The synthesized materials were used as emissive, electron injecting and electron transporting materials in organic light emitting diodes. For full color display, the synthesized materials were also used to fabricate the white organic light emitting diodes of superior quality.
