The objective of this book is to design and develop a prototype mobile robot for fire hazard detection type reconnaissance operations that could approach, enter and provide inside information of a building by stereovision system. Fire hazards are devastating which are capable of tremendous destruction. Thus it is proposed to detect such type of emergencies by employing autonomous mobile robot that is well suited for the job, economical, lightweight and compact.
