Flavonoid is a broad class of oxygen heterocycles which includes neoflavones, flavones, isoflavones. These structurally similar flavones are present in varieties of plant species and known to exhibit a broad range of biological activities. This book describes the synthesis of these flavones mainly via cross-coupling reactions using triarylbismuth as organometallic reagent. Apart from that, recent developments in the area of cross-coupling reactions have also been included in this book.
