The frequency and intensity of Natural Disasters and human induced disaster has been increased throughout the world including Pakistan. The major earthquake of 2005 in Northern Pakistan and unprecedented Floods of 2010 in Pakistan has crossed the previous records in the living memory. The geopolitical location of Pakistan makes it more vulnerable to such disasters. The number of casualties and affected people in these disasters in last two decades in South Asia and Pakistan has crossed millions. The educational institutes on the other hand are also faced with natural and manmade disasters. But generally no well placed disaster management plan has been devised at the University, College and school levels. In this book, the existing disaster management plans of Pakistan have been analyzed in the background of regional and international good practices. Disaster Plans for educational institutes have been developed with Allama Iqbal Open University as a Case study and recommendation have been made for the improvement of national disaster management plans. The book will also help the educational institutions to assess their existing disaster plans and develop it on modern trends and line
