Synopsis

Some of the important tools are considered against attacks from hacker’s such as Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) and Firewall to secure the network. Ironically, more adverse effects on the network have brought by these malicious attacks than before. At present, Both IDS and IPS do not support information exchange and work independently. In order to protect vulnerable attacks increasingly, the tools capability will be lowered by this deficit. This research proposes the functionalities of IDS, IPS and network devices through the system known as Automated Intrusion Prevention Mechanism (Automatic IPM) to enhance network security. Automatic IPM also analyse the intrusion messages function and automates intrusion prevention function. In real time Automatic IPM detects malicious attacks by analysing and detecting network traffic automatically. Automatic IPM locates the malicious attack source and builds a topological view by analysing network configuration and intrusion messages.

Diyar Salah Fadhil ,received MSc. Degree in (Networking Professional) from Sheffield Hallam University, Sheffield ,UK in 2013.He is currently a lecturer in Department of Computer Science - Faculty of Science at Soran University-Soran, Erbil , Kurdistan Region-lraq.
