Synopsis

The present book is devoted to methods of integration of differential equations, from the classical point of view, as well as by means of distributions theory. One points out the practical origins and applications of these functional equations, illustrating them by examples from physics, biology, medicine. The corresponding solutions are given. Notions of wronskian, delta-distribution and their applications, as well as the stability of equilibrium points play a central role. The book contains some of the original results of the first author, presented in over eight international conferences. Equations with singularities are also studied. Biographie de l'auteur

Prof. Dr. Valter Olariu: ODE's, PDE's, differential operators, mathematical Physics. Over 70 scientific articles and 40 books. He was awarded by the Romanian Ministry of Education. Prof Dr. Octav Olteanu: mathematical analysis, functional analysis, moment problem, polynomial approximation on unbounded subsets; 69 published articles and 12 books.
