Synopsis
Power Electronic Converters as one of the most important parts of distributed generation systems are usually used to convert the DC power to AC power and vice versa. They must be protected from different type of faults and unwanted effects. Although there are some standards relating to protection systems of power electronic converters used in electrical grids, the reconsideration of them due to some special requirements based on different faults and undesirable effects are a crucial issue. This book deals with different requirements and presents some protection functions for power electronic converters which are mainly used in electrical grids.
