Synopsis

In general, the ten new EU-member states are quite well equipped as far as grants and incentive programmes for companies are concerned. While the national support programmes have already been working for a long time, the EU funding programmes are just starting to become effective. In general, the new member states have been fully integrated into the EU budget from 1 January 2004. About EUR 41 billion will be made available to these states in the years 2004 to 2006 at 1999 prices. Therefore, the supply of promotion money for companies in these countries is sufficient. The only problem is the lack of information concerning the existing national grants and incentive programmes. This in mind, the main goal of this book is to close this lack and to illustrate the mass on grants and incentives that exist for companies investing or planning to invest in these states - no matter if national or international enterprises are involved.
