The process of rapid urbanization has effectively promoted the development of the construction industry. Growing demands for integrating humanization, diversification, and intelligence have received much attention. Intelligent construction, driven by the emerging technology of artificial intelligence, has become a core force in overcoming industry bottlenecks and accelerating the future transformation of the construction industry. Intelligent construction integrates a series of advanced technologies and involves many areas of expertise, including civil engineering, computer applications, engineering management, mechanical automation, electrical power systems, clean energy, and other fields of knowledge. It should be noted that intelligent construction is inseparable from intelligent operation and maintenance. Effective management methods and operational control strategies significantly enhance the efficiency of the construction industry and support low-carbon development, resulting in comprehensive, coordinated, and sustainable growth. Intelligent construction should consider various factors to obtain a balance between economic and environmental comfort. In response to these demands, this Special Issue has received widespread attention and support. Multidisciplinary research topics are covered in this Special Issue, including prefabricated building design, digital twin engineering, semantic segmentation technology, modal identification, numerical analysis, project management, etc. This Special Issue aims to help intelligent building construction technology realize comprehensive implementation and full utilization.
