Synopsis
Finally breaking free from the constraints of a design philosophy which had advocated natural elements, contemporary landscape architects now employ an ever increasing range of materials in open space design. This work presents successful architectural projects which have been realized using unusual materials or a novel combination of substances. The final projects reflect the potential of aluminum, synthetic resin, stucco or steel in combination with natural stone, concrete, and trees, lamps, and benches.
