Adam Ames (*1969 in New York City) and Andrew Bordwin (*1964 in Framingham, Massachusetts), known together as Type A, have worked collaboratively over the past ten years developing conceptual art projects in diverse media, including performance, video, photography, drawing, and sculpture. The artists derive their content from the complex social, cultural, and psychological interrelationships between men, particularly regarding the issues of competition, challenge, boundaries, and play. More recent work by Type A investigates the relationship between the individual and the community.The catalogue of photographs and drawings-eighty images in all-provides a retrospective of their work.
