Synopsis
Marc Mimram est un architecte et ingénieur multiprimé. Il présente dans cet ouvrage ses oeuvres architecturales et structurelles vues à travers l'objectif d'Erieta Attali, une photographe d'architecture de renommée internationale. Souvent représentée comme un produit, l'architecture peut paraitre désincarnée, dématérialisée, déshumanisée et réduite à la seule image d'elle-même. Ce ne sont pas ces froids clichés sur papier glacé qui intéressent le duo formé par Mimram et Attali, mais une approche globale de l'architecture qui replace tes projets au sein de leur temporalité et de leur environnement immédiat.
Ce triple volume établit un nouveau lexique visuel qui fournira un outil d'interprétation des structures de l'architecte. Le premier tome est consacré à un reportage photographique mené pendant deux ans sur la construction de l'immeuble Airtime à Paris. Le deuxième propose un aperçu d'une sélection d'oeuvres de Mimram en France, au Maroc et en Chine ―école d'architecture, gare, équipement sportif et ponts ―tandis que le troisième se penche sur le nouvel écrin imaginé par l'architecte pour le tournoi de Roland-Garros.
Avec des textes de Marc Mimram, Erieta Attali, Ariel Genadt, Jean Attali, Paul Chemetov, Zvi Hecker et Sir Peter Cook.

À propos de l'auteur
Kengo Kuma established Kengo Kuma & Associates in 1990 and went on to become Professor at the Graduate School of Architecture, University of Tokyo in 2009. He is the author of several books, including Anti-Object and Kyokai: A Japanese Technique for Articulating Space. His work has been featured in numerous publications, including XS Extreme (Thames & Hudson).
