DIETER ROTH, born in Hanover in 1930, deceased in Basel in 1998, lived alternatively in Germany, Switzerland, Iceland, Austria, and the United States. He created poems and prose, drawings, collages, material images, prints, artist books, objects, sculptures, photographs, films, and music, thus offering a vivid account of our existence as human beings.
