Rita de Muynck's large-format figurative paintings draw on the bold use of colour of early Expressionism. They are filled with sensual and synaesthetic images, expressing one sense through another. This book presents her day and night drawings, sptures and installations from 1998 until 2013. De Muynck was born in Belgium and now lives in Munich.

Biographie de l'auteur
Andrea C. Theil, Kunsthistorikerin, lebt in New York und arbeitet bei der Roy Lichtenstein Foundation. Christa Suetterlin, Kunsthistorikerin und Humanethologin, arbeitet am Max-Planck-Institut, Andechs, Deutschland. Thomas Zacharias, Kunsthistoriker und Künstler, war Professor an der Akademie der Bildenden Kuenste in Muenchen.
