Paul Levitz es un fanático de los cómics. Ha trabajado como editor de The Comic Reader y de la serie Batman entre otros, y ha escrito más de 300 historias ―incluida una aplaudida temporada de Legión de Superhéroes―. Directivo de DC Comics, terminó sus 38 años de carrera en la empresa como presidente y director editorial. Retomó la escritura en 2010 con una nueva serie de Legión y otros proyectos. Su última novela gráfica se titula Brooklyn Blood.
