In the Romantic period, women writers developed specific aesthetics and writing strategies in their engagements with climate change and climate catastrophe. Anya Heise-von der Lippe teaches English literature and culture at Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen. She holds an MA from Technische Universität Berlin and a PhD in English literature from Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, as well as a German post-doctoral degree (Habilitation) from Universität Potsdam. Her current research focuses on climate literature and the critical posthumanities.
