Synopsis
Les collocations sont des combinaisons de mots récurrentes, plutôt que sémantiquement. Le fait qu'ils soient largement spécifiques à la langue - même en ce qui concerne des langues aussi étroitement liées que l'allemand et l'anglais - suggère la nécessité d'un dictionnaire de collocation bilingue. Ce besoin est prouvé en analysant une sélection représentative de dictionnaires bilingues généraux actuels et en évaluant les résultats des outils de traduction automatique, à la fois en ligne et commerciaux. La thèse de doctorat commence par un aperçu des différents concepts, méthodes, sources et applications en ce qui concerne les collocations dans les perspectives contemporaines et historiques. Ensuite, les collocations sont discutées dans la lumière contrastée (anglais-allemand). Avant de me lancer dans la discussion des méthodes que j'ai testées en vue de compiler un tel dictionnaire adjectif anglais-allemand, je décrit les principaux principes de la lexicographie bilingue en général. En guise de conclusion, l'applicabilité d'un tel dictionnaire est testée avec l'hypothèse de la possibilité d'expansion du dictionnaire adjectif-nom à d'autres structures collocationnelles.

Before embarking on the discussion of the methods I have tested with a view to compiling such an English-German adjective-noun dictionary, I outline the main principles of bilingual lexicography at large.
