This master's thesis seeks to contribute to accurate EEG signal registration and qualitative modeling of the human head through the development of a system for the generation of variable and realistic head geometry which is a reflection of human ethnic diversity. This thesis is concerned with the full variation of geometry, that is, combined size and shape variation. The generation of variable head geometry is based on a universal template derived from the segmented MRI (magnetic resonance image) data of the human cadaver of Caucasian origin. A new algorithm, radial vector technique segments global geometry into 360 discrete local surface profiles by transforming segmented MRI data into the radial angular matrix (RAM) that describes boundaries and the local surface profiles with high spatial resolution using two localization vectors, namely radial distance and radial angle, from the central axis. The RAM is a new approach to the quantification of differences in the MRI-based geometry of tissues. This thesis work has developed a system for the variation, localization, description and simulation of 3D data derived from MRI data
