Synopsis
L'investissement dans la création d'installations d'irrigation a conduit à l'autosuffisance dans la production de céréales alimentaires ou à des méthodes d'irrigation non scientifiques ont conduit au développement de terres salines, de marécages ainsi que de terres marécageuses conduisant à la dégradation de l'environnement et à la perte de diversité des écosystèmes irrigués. Pour résoudre ces problèmes, le gouvernement indien a également indiqué certains des programmes liés à la restauration de ces écosystèmes irrigués fragiles. Dans ce rapport, un effort a été fait pour évaluer ces programmes de restauration mis en œuvre par l'Autorité de développement de la zone de commandement de Bhadra. Ce livre servira de matériel de référence pour les décideurs politiques ainsi que les étudiants et autres communautés scientifiques impliquées dans les activités de développement.
