Synopsis

The purpose of this book: Faith Based Project Sustainability in Africa: Sampling Factors Influencing Sustainability of Utugi Children Home Of Kirinyaga Anglican Diocese-Kenya, is to bring out the factors influencing faith based project sustainability in Africa of the 21st century. In view of this, Utugi Children Home Project of the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK), Kirinyaga Diocese has been sampled as a befitting case study. The major findings in the book include the sub-committees affected project sustainability and therefore need to be equipped with managerial skills in order to be effective. In other words, there is need to train management committee on technical knowledge so that they can be efficient and effective. Further, there is need for management committee to be equipped with financial skills in order to budget for projects. On how people (community) affect the project in Africa today, the book reveals that cultural background has to be valued and managers should understand peoples' culture in Order to fast-track the implementation of the envisaged project in terms of work, growth and sustainability.

Biographie de l'auteur

David Kariuki author of The Challenges of East African RevivalMovement, studied in St Paul's University and Kenya Methodist University for his Diploma and Bachelor's degree respectively. He completed his post graduate Diploma in Project Management with Kenya Institute of Management(KIM) in 2009. He will join University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2012.
