Synopsis

This research study examines the relationship between interest rate and stock prices in Pakistan. For this purpose, secondary data source from the period January 2005 to May 2009 has been used. Stock Prices Index relating to Karachi Stock Exchange has been used and for Interest rates, the information has been collected from State Bank of Pakistan and Federal Bureau of Statistics. To measure the relationship correlation and regression analysis have been conducted.

The Author is a PhD Scholar at Iqra University, Islamabad Campus. He has an extensive knowledge in various areas of research. His Six research papers have been published in international research journals. His research focus is Stock Markets, its investors and their investment decision making, behavior and attitude.
