Synopsis

Hi this is Kranthi Sale, Completed my Bachelors(2004-2008) & Masters(2008-2010) from "ALI YAVAR JUNG NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR THE HEARING HANDICAPPED". I Worked as a Audiologist and Clinical Specialist in Shravya Speech and Hearing center,Hyderabad and at present I am working in AYJNIHH,SRC as a Speech Pathologist. This book is based on the original work done by me in my Masters. It explores the utility of GAP detection test in Cochlear Implant Recipients. The work shows that there is frequency specific difference in responses of individuals with Cochlear Implants. This marked difference at low frequency is observed because the auditory filter seems to play a role in determining the form of the results for the standard-and reversed phase conditions, Gap thresholds estimated from the preserved-phase condition do not show a strong effect of center frequency, except at very low frequency (200 Hz below). I acknowledge Dr.S.G.R.Prakash and Mr.B.Shiva Prasad for their immense support.
