It occurs to us that perhaps one reason so many software projects fail is because project managers might be trying to solve the wrong problem. Too often projects disappoint people because the project manager was too busy working on activities without making sure the project met the requirements the "customer" wanted. Using proper project management techniques to control a project is the key to a satisfied product. It may seem like an additional burden, but it saves time and money in long time. The effort have would be to develop an easy to use free license product with enough features so it can be used for not so complex projects.

Author is currently working as a System Administrator in a CMM Level 5 IT industry and is proficient in major J2EE technologies. He has acclaimed a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering from University of Madras, Chennai and a Masters in Computer Science degree from California State University, Sacramento.
