This book considers analysis and design of hard handoff and soft handoff algorithms. Handoff is one of the key mechanisms in cellular network. A good handoff algorithm takes care of perfect load distribution among different Base Stations, reduce interference, and maintain cell boundary. Different handoff algorithms depending on Distance, Signal strength, Timer have been developed for mobile cellular systems. There is no dearth in literature for handoff mechanisms and algorithms. Those mechanisms and techniques are quite complicated. Analytical and simulation methods presented in this book can be easily understood.

Sanjay Dhar Roy received his Ph. D. degree in Engineering from NIT Durgapur, India in 2011. He is currently an Assistant Professor at NIT Durgapur, India. As of today, he has published forty (40) research papers in various journals and conferences. Mr. Dhar Roy is a memberof IEEE and is a reviewer of IET Communications, Electronics Letters.
