The tribal artisans of the Jharkhand state of India utilize the minimum possible infrastructure and resources for manufacturing the artefacts. They are trapped in the vicious circle of unproductive production system – low quality artefacts with low productivity and hence low revenue. Dr. Sanjay Kumar Jha is Associate Professor in BIT Mesra, Ranchi, India. He did his B.E,M.E,Ph.D (Engg.) from BIT Mesra, India. He has authored more than 30 research papers, which have appeared in leading technical journals and proceeding of conferences. He has over 15 years of experience and is the fellow/member of many professional bodies.
