If the WUA were studied this would provide scope for improving the effective functioning of the association. Keeping in view, the present study has been designed to study the structure, functioning and to assess the effectiveness of WUA. This study also designed to find out the profile of WUA members, effectiveness of WUA, profile characteristics that led to effectiveness of WUA, the constraints faced by WUA members, the suggestions given by farmers to improve the effectiveness of association and revival of canal fed agriculture were also studied. 152 pp. Englisch.
