Mungbean(Vigna radiata L. Wilczek) is the most important pulse crop in tropical and sub-tropical regions belonging to the family Leguminosae, sub-family Papilionaceae. It contains 51% carbohydrate,26% protein,4% minerals,3% vitamins. Mungbean is a popular pulse crop in Indian subcontinent as a food & fodder crop.
