Throughout the history, it is observed that the spatial environments as well as the culture of shopping centers have played an important role in human life. However together with the industrialization period, the ongoing shopping activity have changed to end up with consumer cultures. In this book, the historical evolution of shopping spaces has been examined in their physical, spatial and cultural frame. Shopping centers can be grouped as the ones “ at the city center” and “ out of center”.
