Internet & Mobile Association of India (IAMI) reports that EC in India is expected to be Rs. 15,000 crore by 2010. The outlook for the years ahead is even more exciting as predicted by various organizations like IAMI and NASSCOM. It is against this back drop even the Government of India has long recognized the need for development of ICT as the growth engine of the Indian economy. Development of ICT will be the back bone for the development of EC. Electronic Commerce applications can make it easier for the country to better integrate with the global markets.
